Mayfair Country Club, located in Sanford, Florida, is one of the state’s oldest golf courses, with a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1922. Originally designed as a 9-hole course by Cameron Trent, it was later expanded to 18 holes under the direction of W.D. Clark. The course has welcomed legendary golfers such as Walter Hagen, Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, and Arnold Palmer.

The club features an 18-hole, par-72 course measuring approximately 6,400 yards from the longest tees. The layout includes wide fairways and strategic water hazards on over half of the holes, providing a challenging yet enjoyable experience for golfers of varying skill levels. Amenities include a driving range, chipping and putting greens, a practice bunker, and a pro shop offering equipment and apparel.

This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! THE ENTIRE COURSE IS GARBAGE. Greens have dirt patches everywhere, fairways don't resemble what a fairway is. They have the nerve to have a sign that says "no outside alcohol" but don't have a cart girl.

It’s a relaxing course with friendly staff. I can tell that it’s going to get even better as they’re working on the clubhouse and driving range now! I just wish I could see most of the holes when I’m driving

You would figure that it being around since 1922, they would be better established. It is just below municipal standards. Tee boxes, fairways and greens still need work. There are better options for the price.

A great track. I have played at Mayfair since 2014. Just played it this week. The greens and fairways were in good shape. A few fairways had some rough parts. My two negatives was. The rough was really rough, and some tee boxes were chewed up. Keep it up Mayfair. Look forward to the new clubhouse and playing there soon! Also Willie is the man!!!

I live within walking distance of this course and I will likely not play this course again. They over book worse than any place I’ve ever seen. They regularly allow parties of 7-8 and it absolutely kills the flow for everyone else. I’ve played two rounds here within the last 3 weeks, the first was behind a group of at least seven people. This round got off to a bad start as the course was over booked (per usual) and we had to wait for a cart, but ultimately saved by heavy rain, a lot of people (the large group included) cleared out and we were able to play at a regular pace. The last round was the most miserable round of golf I have ever played. We were behind a literal line of people on every tee box after the first. We had to wait 10-15 minutes on every hole before we were able to play. I think I made it through 13 holes (after 4.5 hours) before I gave up… It’s unfortunate because the greens fees are great and the course is okay, just mismanaged and HEAVILY over booked.

This is the worst course I’ve ever played, both tee boxes and fairways are in very very poor condition, you can’t even tell where is fairway for most of holes. Only greens are in ok condition, at least the ball rolls well on it. Layout is also weird, no boundaries between holes. Luckily nobody got hit. No marshals, no drink cart, no hole map on the scorecard, basically nothing. So we were very frustrated at the first because we know nothing about this course and can’t even tell which direction should we go at hole 3. Well it is a cheap course though. But you can’t have a fun game here.
