The course has made a lot improvements! They have cleaned up the collars around the green and cut down a lot of weeds around the ponds. They still have a ways to go but they are working on the irrigation after years of neglect. They over seeded and it’s a major improvement. The layout is really good and with some more TLC it will be worth the money. Good job to the new management team.

I played Oaks National 12/19, what a turn around this course has made in the past year. Colleagues could not stop talking about the conditions. If you want a tough course- go to oaks national, this will test your skill

When I read recent reviews of this course I was expecting something that might resemble an apocalyptic landscape with massive over growth and nothing resembling a golf course. While it's not Pebble Beach or Augusta, it is a course that challenges you and is playable. The starter was pleasant, the clubhouse was spacious and well taken of and the greens were decent. The biggest negatives are tee boxes in great need of maintenance and markings, poorly maintained bunkers and cart paths. The greens are decent and the layout was challenging. And don't be scared off by the horrid review of hole #7. It's nothing to worry about. The reviewer must have lost his pacifier on hole #6. In short, I've played worse courses and I expect to return for future loops.

Good news. Management is more committed to keeping the pond algae free and I wish to give them credit for that. Early in 2024, some untimely spraying of nitrogen before a major rain washed into ponds and caused obvious environmental problems for wildlife, like this one by Hole 15. Fortunately it has been addressed since.

I spent a month in Florida (April 2024) and I had the pleasure of golfing numerous times at Oaks National. The online tee-time booking system and the informative website is really nice and convenient. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and a good morning from either Julie, Michelle or Charlie. You couldn't ask for a more friendly group. They treated me like a member from minute one. The clubhouse is great, fully stocked with whatever you need. The course, overall, was good. Are some tee boxes a bit rough? Sure. Are some spots on the course needing a tad of attention? Sure. But there's always groundscrew members out there doing work, so they are working at it. You're paying $35 for 18 and a cart, so anyone complaining about these minor things should go pay $100+ somewhere else. The course has its fair share of challenging Sand traps and water hazards that are strategically placed throughout so it's not always just grip and rip. You have to actually use placement. Overall, I LOVED this course. I WILL be back, I WILL recommend it and I can't thank Julie, Michelle and Charlie enough!!!

This course is exceptionally rough. Most tee boxes not level with many undulations and are entirely devoid of grass. Fairways have massive bare patches with no grass. Green surrounds were rutted up mud, weeds, and very little grass. No rakes in any bunkers. Standing water in many bunkers with no recent rain. Many greens had large diseased and dead patches that were only sand and no grass at all. 4 to 6 of the greens had multiple dead streaks across the green where the greens mower had been leaking hydraulic fluid without being noticed. It’s really really sad to see this kind of neglect. This place is cheap compared to everything else in the area but I wouldn’t pay any amount to play it again. One star and Two thumbs down. The attached photos are a good representation of the condition of the entire course. It’s bad.
